Who we are

We are simply a group of imperfect people who are made one by our common belief and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Our loyalty is to Jesus, from Whom we place our hope.  We believe that the Lord has given clear and sufficient information in the Bible to direct the lives of all who follow Him.   We encourage one another to study the Bible and act upon what they learn there. We certainly don’t believe that we have the corner on truth, but we are just as certain that we know where to find the truth. Jesus said, “I am the truth….” (John 14:6)

What we believe

  • GOD THE FATHER.

We believe that there is one true and living God, eternally existing in three persons – Father, Son (Jesus), and Holy Spirit.

We believe that God the Father is both the creator and sustainer of the heavens and the earth. All of creation was made to give glory to God.  God sovereignly rules all things according to His own eternal wisdom and for the ultimate purpose to glorify Himself.

    (Genesis 1:1-31, Psalm 145:8-9, Romans 1:20, Ephesians 3:9, Revelation 4:11)

  • JESUS CHRIST.

We believe Jesus was virgin born, fully human and fully God.  Living a sinless life, He died on the cross for our sins, rose from the dead, and will return again, as predicted, to claim each of us who believes in Him, as His own.

    (Romans 3:24-25, John 1:1-14, 1 Corinthians 15:12-23)

  • THE HOLY SPIRIT.

We believe that the Holy Spirit is an eternal part of the Godhead, who convicts the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment.

We believe that the Holy Spirit works progressively in every believer to transform us into the image of Christ. The Holy Spirit acts as our helper, empowering believers for worship, witness, and service. In addition, the Holy Spirit equips us with gifts for the building up of the Body of Christ (the church) and for the effective witness of the Gospel to the world.

    (John 16:8-15, 2 Corinthians 3:18, Ephesians 2:22, 1 Corinthians 12:4-11)

  • THE BIBLE.

We believe it is the word of God, written by man through God's inspiration. We believe the Bible's content, of itself, confirms its validity, written over a period covering thousands of years, It contains a continuous sequence of detailed prophesies that have occurred at a later point in time, exactly as predicted.

    (2 Peter 1:20-21, Psalm 19:7-11, John 17:17, 2 Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 4:12)

  • BAPTISM.

Baptism is a valid demonstration of one’s faith and commitment to Jesus. It is always performed by immersion, in which one is buried in the likeness of the death of Jesus, and raised in the likeness of His resurrection; representing a crucifixion of self, and a change of allegiance from the kingdom of this world to the Kingdom of our Lord and God.

    (Acts 2:38, 1 Peter 3:21)

  • COMMUNION.

Communion serves as a constant reminder of the fellowship that exists between Jesus and His followers, made possible through the sacrifice of His dying on the cross for our sin. We remember the Lord in this way every week during our Sunday gathering.

    (Matthew 26:26-28, John  6:53-58)
